BIO
Originally from Limerick, I moved to Ogonelloe in 2022 for renewal and inspiration. Creative as a
child, I stopped painting after my Leaving Cert Art. In 2018, I found myself continually looking at
Impressionist art and imagining a paintbrush in my hand, so I returned to art class after 23 years
where I began creating abstract pieces. I founded Lightbridge Art in 2020 as the home of my original acrylic-on-canvas paintings and limited-edition giclée prints. As well as these “Soul Visions”, I now also make “Light Links” crystal jewellery and run Energy Art healing workshops.
Many of my paintings have been awarded and featured multiple times in international art competitions and juried shows. Some of my recent solo and group exhibitions include Friar’s Gate and MADS Art Gallery, Milan.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
I love to create beautiful, vibrant artwork that makes people think and feel; these “Soul Visions” are evocative in how they bring up a picture, memory or emotion. My paintings are also used by holistic therapists and individuals as meditative and healing aids.
I find it interesting how each individual is drawn to specific pieces and it’s fun to watch the wide variety of things people see and say when viewing the paintings!
My wish is for you to feel the magic and joy of this “Soul Visions” experience.
 

SOUL VISIONS INSPIRATION
I don’t set out with a concept or work to any formal painting process. I see the main colours and the flow of the piece in my mind’s eye and I give my hand the freedom it wants. Listening to music that inspires me, I layer paint onto the canvas, blending and highlighting using
different brush types, sizes and strokes.
Each painting goes through a number of iterations. Continually engaging with the piece as it sits on the easel, I come and go from the canvas over weeks or months to honour what needs to emerge. I hold no expectations for the end result. Yet each completed painting reflects part of me that I often can’t put words but know and understand.
My Declutter Therapy “LET IT GO” teachings and my Reiki energy work have both been very influential; I find expressing intuitively through colour and energy so freeing.
